Live Project at D&AD Academy

The Brief

 

Create an event activation and branding for the upcoming Google Pixel 2 release; this included designing the event as well as appropriate branding, marketing, and event merchandise. It needed to be innovative in order to retain audience attention, as well as reflect the features and values of the Google Pixel. This brief was during the D&AD New Blood academy and in conjunction with design agency Jack Morton, and with assistance from design agency Geometry.

Solution

 

In a group I took on the role of being the leader and designer for this project. The branding I created needed to be cohesive with Google's current branding using their current typeface and colour palette. The event was to have themed rooms that highlighted a feature of the Pixel phone such as AI, Night Camera and more, this was partnered with a goody bag of which everyone leaves with including a discount voucher to buy the phone, a tote bag, and branded seeds. We used stickers to promote the event beforehand.
